With more than 50 years of combined industry experience, our team represents a carefully curated portfolio of high-end hardwood flooring, engineered wood, and specialty flooring brands sourced from leading manufacturers around the world.

 

We partner closely with commercial clients across hospitality, retail, corporate, and multi-family projects, guiding each floor from specification through installation with practical expertise and attention to detail. John Paine, our Founder and Managing Partner at Common Sense Floors. With over fifty years of industry expertise and a dedication to design excellence, John has built a brand known for transforming spaces into functional works of art. Seth

Seth is a 3rd generation floor covering professional who joined the industry 8 years ago. He lives in South Austin with his wife and daughter. When he’s not servicing his customers he enjoys spending time traveling, golfing and in the great outdoors. 

Tim

Preparing buyers with knowledge, enthusiasm, samples and the confidence to present flooring for their neighbors’ homes and businesses is a noble endeavor. Representing and interacting with second and third generations of distributors and manufacturers for over 50 years is rewarding, because everyone involved realizes each sale is a not a one-time deal. “The relationship is more important than the sale” works for any salesperson but is also a principle to adopt when promoting several lines of flooring.
I appreciate local flooring professionals who learn what their neighbor wants and finds the product that will perform beautifully for their needs.

Zac

Zac brings to the Common Sense Floors team a wealth of knowledge and experience, which stems from his past roles across multiple facets in the flooring industry over his career. He believes that the most important ingredient to his success is the development of meaningful relationships with his dealer and manufacturing partnerships, and he’s always focused on creating win/win scenarios for and with those partners.  When he’s not driving value to business relationships, Zac loves to recharge with his wife and children traveling to the beach or in the mountains.

Kelly

As a professional in the wood flooring industry for 25+ years, I’ve gained great experience in pre-finished and unfinished wood flooring. I am especially knowledgeable in adhesives and finishes and am an NWFA instructor. I believe every home in America should benefit from the quality of wood flooring. I love finding the right flooring for each individual situation, as there are so many options available.

Dennis

Dennis Crawford is the newest partner at Common Sense Flooring, representing CSF from Waco throughout South Texas. He brings more than 26 years of retail flooring management experience, including 20 years as COO at O’Krent’s Flooring Center. Dennis has also served as Vice President of Sales at CW Floors & Lighting and spent 12 years as a hardwood flooring manufacturer sales manager. A Certified Flooring Executive (CFE), Dennis combines deep operational knowledge with extensive sales leadership, making him a trusted resource for clients across the region.
